Born in the vibrant city of Houston, Texas, Dr. Scott Godsey’s journey brought him to the scenic landscapes of Colorado at a young age. A proud graduate of CSCS in Colorado Springs, his sense of duty led him to enlist in the Navy. Here, he served as a ballistic fire control technician aboard nuclear submarines, completing six commendable tours on the USS James Monroe and two on the USS George C Marshall.
Following his distinguished naval service, Dr. Godsey transitioned to Northwest Arkansas, embarking on an entrepreneurial journey by owning and operating a Snap-On Tools franchise. Life, however, had different plans. A severe herniated disc in 1996 introduced him to the challenging process of managing back pain. Conventional medical treatments, ranging from pain medications, muscle relaxers, to steroid injections, ultimately ended with a surgical recommendation. Unwilling to accept the risks associated with back surgery, Dr. Godsey continued to look for other options.
It was this event that led him to chiropractic care, a transformative experience that not only healed his back but also illuminated a new purpose. Inspired by the profound impact of chiropractic healing, Dr. Godsey, at the age of 44, made the bold decision to return to school. Today, Dr. Godsey holds a bachelor’s degree in human biology and a Doctorate in Chiropractic (Magna Cum Laude) from Cleveland University in 2016. As a board-certified chiropractor in Colorado, he serves the community from his practice in Parker, CO, carrying forward his personal testament of resilience and the healing potential of chiropractic care.
